2x Hyundai Sonata Tweeter Replacement Blank set
The base model Hyundai Sonata has a sound system that leaves a bit to be desired. Most annoyingly, the vehicle has no tweeters but instead points a "full range" driver at the windshield.
This plate allows for replacement of the driver with a component tweeter of your choosing. Simple drill a hole appropriate for the flush-mount hardware that came with your tweeter set and install!
Includes 2pcs per order, one for driver side and one for passenger
Installation In Car:
Tools Needed:
- A panel tool and protective cloth
- A ratcheting driver like this one
- A #2 philips bit
You can see where the three clips are in the photo above; use the panel tool to pry in these areas, protecting the dash with the cloth under the panel tool.
Use the driver and bit to remove the two screws from the driver. Don't drop them! (Use a magnet if you're concerned about this)
Unclip the wires to the driver.
Install the tweeter into this bracket and sort out the wiring. (Beyond the scope of this guide)
Screw the new bracket with tweeter in it in place of the old driver.
Re-attach the speaker grille into the dash.
