A common issue with the projectors in OEM Valeo Bixenon housings fitted to B6 A4's is that the reflector bowl can become scorched which results in diminished light output. Instead of replacing the whole headlight housing, only to have the issue reoccur, one can use this bracket to replace the projector itself with Koito Q5-r Replica projectors or similar D1S bixenon projectors. This also allows you to retain the original ballast and bulb type (D1S) as well, to help keep cost down.
