You can mount it directly to the wall but it will slightly be at an angle due to the plastic protection cover where the wire is spinning.  If you want it to be straight up as per the picture you need to install the bracket at about 38mm (1.5") from the wall

The wall screws are not included but readily available from any hardware store!
