TRX4M High Clearance Skid Plate Mount - No Mods Required - Tarantula
High clearance skid plate mount that allows the chassis to connect lower down on the skid plate, removing the bit that hangs underneath the chassis. This allows better clearance and prevents the skid plate from getting caught on obstacles, specially if you have a low rig.
This was designed to fit on my Tarantula chassis ad can not confirm if it work on any other chassis but should be fine for any chassis that mounts to an Injora/TRX4M Skid plate.
No modifications to the skid plate is required, it simply uses the pre existing bolts to mount it on the side. For instruction on how to mount please read below.
** Mounting instructions: **
First fix the upper links to the usual fixing point with the standard bolts/screws
Fit the rear lower arms using the standard bolt
Using the standard front lower arm bolts screw them into the 3D printed high clearance plate mounts and then locate the lower arms into the standard location and continue screwing in the bolts until both the arms and plates are held in place by the bolts either side.
use the standard chassis mounting bolt and attach to the high clearance skid plate mount using the rear hole.
For the front chassis hole you will require a shorter bolt to prevent the arms from being restricted. You can either cut/file down the standard bolt or if you have a number of spare bolts find one short enough. depending on the thickness of the bolt you may be required to make the hole in the mounting plate a bit wider to get the bolt in. it has been made small to accommodate any different bolts you may find.
