Designed for Mercedes-Benz SL R230 models (2001–2011), this replacement hinge cover restores the rear roof flap mechanism when the original part breaks or goes missing. Precision-fit to mount onto the existing corner piece, it helps maintain smooth flap operation and prevents wind noise or misalignment. Finished in black to match your interior trim.
This part was modeled to be epoxied or glued into place with simple modification of the existing cover.
Installation:
1) Remove the cover from the vehicle by removing the silver bolt under the cover and the torx screw under the main roof cover flap. (top must be in the 50/50 up position to find the torx screw.)
2) Using a sanding disc, or Dremel tool with a sanding disc, remove the existing broken plastic hinge components. Sand the cover so the newly printed part can lie flat on the underside of the cover.
3) Epoxy the new part in place and let dry before replacing cover on the car.
