This is a custom air intake cone and protective grill designed for the Dell OptiPlex 7060 series.
It’s part of a CPU cooling modification when replacing the original Dell fan with a Noctua NH-L9i cooler (37 mm height, 92 mm diameter).The design helps optimize airflow toward the CPU by channeling fresh air directly into the cooler while maintaining a clean and safe intake with the integrated grill.
Installation notes:
To install the Noctua NH-L9i, you’ll need to drill the original CPU mounting supports, since the Noctua cooler mounts from the back side of the motherboard.
