This part trades the ashtray assembly entirely to a cupholder.

Key messages:
the development is done based on a 2004 LS430 post-facelift with 6spd shifter. I have no access to the pre-facelift 5spd shifter to check fitment. Therefore, pre-facelift fitment remains unknown.
the cup holder is designed to mount on the center console wood using the original 4 screws from the factory ashtray
roll back to factory ashtray is possible as the cup holder design does not require any altering to any trim pieces
the cigarette lighter harness needs to move away to give space for the cup holder which involves removal of the harness clip from the shifter base. I found it easy to remove the clip with a 90degree pick.
